Job Description
Imagine Yourself:
*Monitoring, reconciling and processing journal entries to the general ledger and detailed subsidiary ledgers.
Reconciling bank reconciliations and/or assigning general ledgers.
Assisting in the preparation of the financial statements.
Performing electronic funds transfers (EFTs), automated clearing house (ACH) functions in a timely, accurate manner.
Disbursing accounts payable checks after validating invoices for accuracy.
Answering questions regarding Credit Union services, resolving members' request or problems promptly and courteously, and performs a variety of account maintenance functions.
Skills / Requirements
General Qualifications
Knowledge of accounting principles/practices and general business practices, equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regionally accredited associates degree program. Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through 3 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting that includes experiences in preparing closing entries, preparing bank reconciliations and financial statements.
Desired Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, follow procedures and perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Excellent human relations skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must be bondable through CUNA Mutual Insurance Company.
