*Providing oversight of the day-to-day operations of Family Therapy Training Institute, a nationally accredited post graduate training program, preparing professionals for licensure as marriage and family therapists at Aurora Family Services in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
*Responsible for maintaining and adhering (on behalf of The Family Therapy Training Institute) to certification standards of the Commission of Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education.
*Responsible for all duties necessary to provide state of the art post graduate education in marriage and family therapy including recruitment and retention of students, adjunct faculty and supervisors.
*Developing and maintaining relationships with other Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) educational programs, community agencies that provide clinical placements for students, and others as are advantageous for providing state of the art education.
*Providing classroom instruction and clinical supervision as needed.
*Maintaining adherence to all certification standards including preparation of Annual Report and periodic preparation and implementation of Self-Study and re-certification site visits.
*Providing clinical consultation and training to Aurora Family Service and Aurora Health Care programs as requested.
*Maintaining professional connections at both local and national levels that enhance and contribute to a progressive response to continual changes that ensure state of the art training in marriage and family therapy.
*Participating in Aurora Family Service management team meetings and goal planning integrating the Family Therapy Training Institute, its mission and resources into the agency's mission and goals.
*Managing the program's budget, from creation to implementation. Creating and managing the Institute budget, creating new funding sources, and coordinating with the Aurora Family Service Foundation toward granting of scholarships from the David Hoffman Minority Scholarship Fund.
Skills / Requirements
General Qualifications
*Master's degree in Social Work, behavioral science, community health or related field. Current Wisconsin Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
*Clinical membership with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists with Approved Supervisory Status (AAMFT).
*Five years of experience providing community based mental health services with a minimum of three years experience at the supervisory level.
*Basic word processing and/or spreadsheet software skills.
*Demonstrate working knowledge of mental health and/or community mental health program development, systemic orientation, clinical supervision, preparation of budgets, state regulations, billing procedures, managed care environment, therapeutic case management and team building.
*Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships within a multi-level service delivery system building individual, family agency and community partnerships.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in accreditated training program, experience in working with diverse popluatioins including children and adolescents
