Education Intern Milwaukee, $8.49 to $8.50/hour Since 1976, the Zoological Society of Milwaukee education department has brought exceptional animal, environmental and science-based educational opportunities to children, adults and families. Overall, these programs reach about 500,000 individuals each year. The Zoological Society of Milwaukee education department provides special programs, tours, and self-guided materials that enhance teacher curriculum. Along with sharpening students' sensory and observation skills, Zoological Society of Milwaukee education programs and related materials help fulfill the science standards set by the state of Wisconsin. Year-round workshops, conducted by Zoological Society of Milwaukee educators, enrich the lives of children at every age through hands-on learning activities focusing on the wonderful world of animals. The Zoological Society also facilitates outreach programs, taking animals into schools, libraries and other places across Wisconsins where people can develop an understanding of wildlife, wild places, and some of the environmental challenges the earth's natural resources are currently facing.
