Jobing Description
Provides individual counseling, crisis intervention and school, court and community advocacy for clients in residential treatment care. Will report to Gary Robinson, Program Manager.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provides individual counseling.
Assesses family and individual needs.
Provides crisis counseling, case management and assists in conflict resolution.
Attends court hearings.
Develops and implements treatment plans.
Interpret children’s code; reports state mandated issues regarding abuse.
Ensures timely completion of agency and program-related documentation.
Supports the goals of the agency mission.
Provide community contact/attendance checks, etc.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills / Requirements
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Masters Degree in Social Work required.
One year experience with adolescents and families.
Individual, family and group counseling skills.
Demonstrated verbal and written skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
Knowledge of the impact of poverty on individual and family development.
Team building consensus skills.
Ability to display cultural competence by responding respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, languages, classes, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions and other diversity factors in a manner that recognizes, affirms and values the worth of individuals, families and communities and protects and preserves the dignity of each.
Valid WI driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
Ability to use vehicle for work related duties according to the agency’s insurance liability standards.
Ability to physically manage clients with use of appropriate agency trained techniques.
