Job: Wireless Products Development Manager

Job Summary:

Guarantee deliver of working, wireless devices, technology related to wireless devices and features to meet the requirements of the Cellcom Marketing organization by managing quality assurance efforts, resolution of customer issues, definition and maintenance of testing facilities and tools and information flow from engineering to the Cellcom Marketing department.

Responsibilities & Duties:

1) Define and manage implementation of a device and technology testing strategy that meets requirements of quantity and quality set by Cellcom Marketing. Responsibilities include defining test suites; preparing and conducting tests and reporting test results to ensure that devices and technology delivered to customers by Cellcom meet the quality requirements of Cellcom.

2) Determine configuration values for devices and technology purchased by Cellcom; create necessary configuration files for those devices and technology and deliver the appropriate files to manufacturers, distributors and Cellcom service and support organizations.

3) Provide content for training, creation of training materials and delivery of training sessions, as necessary, to support Cellcom training resources.

4) Support the development, testing, and distribution of all Preferred Roaming Lists (PRL) and Enhanced Roaming Indicator (ERI) files for devices Cellcom provides to customers.

5) Work with Cellcom Marketing to identify, evaluate and approve devices and technology for Cellcom products and that allow Cellcom to offer customers products and features that meet or exceed product offerings made by Cellcom Competitors. Roles and responsibilities include technical due diligence, development support and technical input on contract terms and conditions – As necessary.

6) Generate weekly and monthly status reports and facilitate regular meetings with marketing team.

7) Work closely with network engineering team and engineering projects to ensure devices work within the required systems and network.

8) Work closely with the information technology teams and the IT projects to ensure devices work with the required OSS and BSS systems.

9) Define and implement an information strategy to acquire, store and present data pertinent to Nsight’s wireless system; and the devices and technology sold by Cellcom.

10) Participate in ACG activities in a role(s) defined by Cellcom.

11) Keep informed about wireless industry trends by reading, attending shows and establishing relationships with other professionals.

12) Work with device manufactures to meet product delivery objectives.

13) Supervise employees in wireless product development department, includes hiring, training and development of employees as well as disciplinary and termination action, when necessary; development and communication of expectations and goals; ensuring goals are met.

14) Supervise temporary employees to support product delivery objectives.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Five (5) to seven (7) years of leadership experience and two (2) to three (3) years of telecommunications handset experience or electronics work required. Previous management experience preferred.
