Job Title Infection Control Coordinator Building Code BH-Aurora Memorial Hospital Of Burlington Address 252 McHenry Street City Burlington # Hours Per Pay Period (Bi-weekly) 56 Schedule to be determined Req # (optional) 64355BR Explore a Career In Infection Control Job Description Imagine yourself *Assuring compliance of Infection Control practices in accordance with Joint Commission, OSHA, NCQA and any other regulatory standards for Hospital compliance. *Acting as a resource person to the clinics in the area of Infection Control. *Reporting communicable diseases to the appropriate health departments. *Educating staff & physicians on all principles and concepts of Infection Control. *Reviewing charts, developing reports and reporting to required committees. *Performing risk assessments in the area of IC for units/departments. Skills / Requirements
General Qualifications
*Registered Nurse currently licensed as a RN in the State of Wisconsin. *Knowledge of principles of epidemiology, including data management and analysis. *Excellent communication skills with proven ability to counsel and educate. *Ability to interpret clinical data and regulatory requirements. *Knowledge of microbiology, sterilization, transmission of disease, and isolation Precautions principles and concepts. *Knowledge of Joint Commission and OSHA Standards for Infection Control. *Proven communication/collaboration skills to successfully interact with physicians & employees at all levels. Desired Qualifications *One to two years of experience as an Infection Control Nurse preferred. *APIC training and/or certification preferred.
