Job Description Job Title: Electrical Engineering Co-op Job ID: 9138 Location: Milwaukee WI - Research & Dev Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Responsibilities ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING CO-OP (May 2010 start) PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Electronic Engineering program emphasizes team-oriented simultaneous engineering. Students will receive exposure to many diverse career areas within the engineering disciplines: product testing, design, development, research, and application. Assignments will cover various departments and disciplines, allowing students to apply and expand their basic academic knowledge in the areas of analog circuits, digital circuits, software development, schematic design, circuit board layout, troubleshooting, and control. Students interact with supervisors, project leaders, engineers, technicians, and those with skilled trades on a daily basis. SCHEDULE: Students alternate four (4) work terms with five (5) school terms, extending their graduation date by approximately one (1) year. Students generally begin their co-op experience immediately following their sophomore year, starting their work term in either the summer or the fall term. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: -- Must be electrically and mechanically inclined, and have an interest in internal combustion engines. -- Must have good communication skills. -- Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment with diverse groups of people. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: -- Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university studying toward a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. -- Should be on schedule to have at least completed second-semester sophomore curriculum requirements in major program of study prior to starting date. -- Must have and maintain a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5/4.0.
