Job: Senior Tax Analyst

SUMMARY:

Baird is seeking a talented and motivated individual to increase the value of tax service provided to the Company. Baird’s tax function supports our entire global financial services business. The Senior Tax Analyst will provide advice on structures, business strategies and key initiatives and lead the tax compliance effort.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepare and file Baird’s annual federal and state income tax returns as well as quarterly estimated payments and extensions.

2. Complete tax provision calculations and reporting and work with IRS and state tax audits.

3. Work closely with outside accounting firms as required.

4. Provide guidance to Baird’s businesses regarding tax compliance and planning.

5. Manage complex projects across multiple departments and businesses.

6. Research tax matters and summarize conclusions and rationale.

7. Lead the internal preparation of all sales/use, property tax returns and miscellaneous tax filings.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Master’s Degree in Taxation. A minimum of three years tax experience required; public accounting experience a plus. Knowledge of multi-state tax compliance and foreign tax reporting also a positive.

2. Ability to work independently, multi-task and meet specific deadlines.

3. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively as a team player.

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of a project.

5. Superior organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
