Job: Performance Analyst

We are looking for a Performance Analyst to help meet the needs of our growing business. Performance Analysts are responsible for the detailed analysis of performance returns and audit of performance outliers. Identifies trends and resolves special account situations. Must have a good understanding of performance calculations and reporting. Individuals should possess an investment industry background alongside strong analytical and mathematical skills. Must have strong communication skills to translate findings in a clear, understandable fashion to individuals at all levels. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Math, Business, Finance, or Accounting and 3-5 years of experience in financial or accounting capacity.
2. Investment Advisory experience and prior experience with a performance reporting platform preferred.
3. Series 7 and 66 licensed or willingness to become licensed within 12 months.
4. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to perform advanced calculations and data compilation.
5. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written with exceptional attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and within a team in order to accomplish objectives.
7. Ability to tolerate peak workloads which occasionally involves working weekends and late nights.
8. A motivated individual who has a desire to learn, and an ability to think creatively.
9. Strong PC skills with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required and knowledge of Microsoft Access is preferred.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs detailed quality control checks on portfolio accounting systems.
2. Analyzes performance outliers and audits performance reports through the review of account activity and reports.
3. Analyzes and resolves special account situations which may be complex.
4. Responds to inquiries and resolves issues raised by Financial Advisors or Sales Assistants in the Private Wealth Management group.
5. Maintains and reconciles client account activity on an outside portfolio accounting system.
6. Updates and creates various Excel spreadsheets and Access databases.
7. Verifies new functionality on existing and/or new software.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
