CapTel Inc., a fast-growing technology company located on the west side of Madison, is seeking individuals to caption telephone calls for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community using HIGH TECH VOICE RECOGNITION TECHNOLOGY. We are currently hiring full-time and part-time Captionists for morning, evening, and weekend shifts. Bilingual positions also available! (Bilingual Captionists must be able to caption both English and Spanish calls.) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Multi-task (hear audio, voice what was heard, proof-read developing captions, all simultaneously). Utilize a keyboard by typing proper corrections and other words as necessary. Maintain the CapTel Call Center’s quality standards for accuracy and speed. Monitor technical issues on calls and report to appropriate staff. Attend job-appropriate meetings and training sessions. Sign and abide by the CapTel Call Centers Oath of Confidentiality, even after employment is terminated Skills / Requirements
