Job: Payroll Director

Our client is currently seeking a Payroll Director. The company is growing and expanding with new clients on daily basis. We are seeking an individual with payroll service experience to lead a team of payroll associates and to help manager their clients.

Position Responsibilities:

- Oversee payroll operations and initiate process improvements to maximize customer service and producativiy, develop and/or review payroll policies and procedures as needed.
- Maintain leading edge knowledge of payroll dscipline as an internal expert for compliance issues.
- Hires and train/coach as well as manage the Payroll Department Staff (6)
- Manage third party vendor relationships
- Manage the weekly and montly file conversions
- Troubleshoot and work with the IS Department on all system related initiatives and upgrades as well as installations.
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws

Job Requirements:

- BA or BS degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
- At least 5-10 years of progessively responsible experience in leading and managing a payroll department
- Multi-location and mulit-state payroll processing experience for a company
- System implemenation and/or process improvement experience
- Extensive knowledge in Payroll & Accounting procedures and Payroll Tax Law & Regulations
- Proficiency in csustomer service culture is necessary
