Job Title: Mortgage Banker II
Job ID: 928114 Location: , WI Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Responsibilities: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Proactively develops business relationships, by representing the company to real estate brokers, builders and individual clients. Additional responsibilities include originating and qualifying loan applicants by interviewing, informing, and counseling existing and prospective mortgage clients. Skills / Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
·Two years of college. ·One to two years mortgage lending experience. Other Information SPECIFIC DUTIES: Promoting Sales ¿ Approximately 75% ¿Promotes sales and new business while expanding and retaining existing clients through business development calls (e.g. ¿ broker luncheons, professional group presentations, trade shows, distribution of mortgage rate information sheets and competitive marketing survey information) in an effort to meet established sales goals. ¿Schedules and arranges appointments with potential loan clients at locations convenient to the client; and maintains office hours at Real Estate Brokerage firms and open houses. ¿Interviews clients, completes application forms, collects fees, and reviews applications for submission to the mortgage loan processors. ¿Cross-sells suitable mortgage and retail banking products/services in addition to making referrals in an effort to meet established sales and referral goals. ¿Communicates and assists mortgage loan processors, underwriters and closers throughout the process to build a strong team. ¿Follows up on the application from processing through closing.& Follow up may consist of but is not limited to telephone contacts, additional meetings with clients, obtaining additional information and delivery of documentation. ¿Originates each mortgage loan according to underwriting and regulatory compliance standards. ¿Displays good business judgment when waiving fees, making price concessions, or giving next day approvals. ¿Understands competitive environment and effectively sells against it. ¿Obtains referrals from existing business relationships. ¿Represents the company at social events and activities to meet and entertain existing and prospective clients. Training ¿ Approximately 10% ¿Maintains a high level of financial services knowledge through in-house and external training. ¿Interacts with Branch locations in an effort to develop and strengthen internal and external client relationships in addition to capturing cross-sell opportunities. General Administration ¿ Approximately 15% ¿Submits sales call, commission, expense, and other sales/management reports on a timely basis. ¿Participates and facilitates sales, bank, and mortgage meetings as requested. ¿Advises management on client concerns, product features, new product development requirements and pricing. ¿Represents the bank in community affairs and civic organizations to support Community Reinvestment Act. ¿Arranges and conducts loan closings when necessary. ¿Advises management concerning any marketing survey information required. ¿Responsible for other duties as assigned or required. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: ¿Bachelor¿s degree from an accredited college or university. ¿Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage banking including:& underwriting, financial calculations/analysis and loan processing guidelines. ¿Solid understanding of real estate/financial services industry products and services. ¿Established sales experience. ¿Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. ¿The ability to work weekend and evening hours. ¿Proven ability to work independently. ¿High-quality computer skills (CRT, PC, Salespartner). ¿Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Economics or Business is preferred. ¿3-5 years in financial services field ¿Multiline telephone, This job posting is no longer available on Jobing.com.
