Job Description

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a client focused individual who understands the importance of providing exceptional client service. This person will conduct marketing activities to promote annuities within the system. This involves working with Financial Advisors and other internal departments by delivering expert knowledge and advice on specific annuity products, solutions and strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Articulates information to Financial Advisors and Client Relationship Associates on annuity products including, but not limited to; variable, fixed, immediate and fixed indexed annuities.

2. Consults with Financial Advisors and Client Relationship Associates to help them determine their clients' needs and select the appropriate annuity solution that fits within the client's overall financial plan. Participates in meetings and conference calls with clients when requested by the field.

3. Coordinates and communicates the launch of new products, product enhancements and marketing initiatives to the field; travels to branch offices to introduce annuity sales concepts and new products to Financial Advisors.

4. Represents firm at annuity industry conventions and insurance partner forums.

5. Develops relationships with insurance partners' wholesaling force to insure Financial Advisors receive necessary support.

6. Involved in reviewing and coordinating selling agreements with carriers.

7. Generates written sales ideas, training and marketing materials, letters, presentations, etc. on annuity products and solutions.

8. Coordinates and distributes annuity/insurance newsletter. May include writing sales articles, industry updates and utilization of the internet for annuity information that can be linked to the newsletter.

9. Utilizes intranet to provide current product information, promote sales ideas and enhance annuity visibility.

10. Prepares training material and present material to new Financial Advisor Associates and Client Relationship Associates continuing education programs twice a year.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REFQUIRED:

1. Bachelors degree (Marketing a plus). Minimum of 3 years broker/dealer and annuities experience required.

2. Ability to become Series 7, 63 and Life Insurance licensed.

3. Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external clients.

4. Exceptional organizational skills as well as ability to manage multiple tasks.

5. Must be a self –starter, work independently and possess excellent follow through skills.

6. Ability to shift focus in a fast-paced and ever changing environment.

7. Excellent PC skills – Microsoft Office. Ability to work with industry specific software.
