Position Description
Lakeshore Medical Clinic has an immediate need for EXPERIENCED Insurance Follow-Up Specialists to work at our corporate office located in South Milwaukee. PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Insurance Follow-up Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate follow up on unpaid insurance claims for maximum reimbursement according to payer contract guidelines. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Precise, strict attention-to-detail work habits. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An understanding and commitment to company-wide, departmental and team goals. Analytical Self Motivated Effective problems solving skills Knowledge of insurance contracts Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment Key a minimum of 60 WPM (alphanumeric) EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three (3) years insurance follow-up or insurance follow-up experience in a healthcare insurance environment. Knowledge of multi-specialty physician billing procedures guidelines according to Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, worker's compensation, and third party payer policies. Basic understanding of medical terminology, ICD.9 & CPT This is a full-time position. Please include wage requirements to be considered.
