As a member of IS/IT team, the MCAD/CAE Systems Analyst’s primary role is to provide internal technical application support/training for product development and manufacturing MCAD/CAE system users.
 

In this role, you will be the 1st point of contact for users/customers on technical application issues, advanced software usage techniques and best practices guidance. The MCAD/CAE Systems Analyst is expected to be a subject matter expert and must be competent in usage of PTC MCAD/CAE applications to facilitate advanced level application utilization.
In addition to addressing technical issues, the MCAD/CAE Systems Analyst is expected to interface with IS/IT colleagues and business users within the BRP Marine group on a regular basis to foster healthy and productive relationships with primary business partners.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


End-User Support - Provide CAD/CAM/CAE application help desk end-user support and over-the shoulder usage guidance. Troubleshoot application issues/bugs and develop short-term work arounds.
End-User Training - Provide CAD/CAM/CAE end-user application training. Develop, administer, and conduct in house training courses to improve end-user application knowledge, efficiency and productivity. Organize and conduct internal user group meetings to foster technology and best practice adoption. Coordinate with management to determining organization external training requirements.
Application Administration - Provide CAD/CAM/CAE application(s) administration. Install, configure and maintain application software. Develop application programs, macros and customizations to improve end-user productivity. Maintain company specific application start model templates, drawing formats and drawing symbols libraries.
Application Best Practices & Standards – Develop, document and implement CAD/CAM/CAE standard procedures and best practices to streamline new product development processes. Coordinate with management in determining where new technology & business process improvements are needed. Assists in deploying/Implementing solutions that will create an optimized application environment.
Application Evaluation/Selection - Provide technical software evaluation. Assist in the evaluation of new CAD/CAM/CAE technologies that will benefit new product development efforts. Conduct benchmark studies, technical reviews of new CAD/CAM/CAE software technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS


BSME or equivalent engineering experience
1-2 years’ experience providing PTC MCAD/CAE end-user applications support & training.
2-3 years’ PTC MCAD/CAE application administration experience.
Product Development experience utilizing PTC Creo & Windchill PLM software in a mechanical engineering environment.
Formal PTC advanced level training preferred.
Position requires advanced application knowledge of PTC CREO Parametric software.
Ability to transform user requirements into technical specifications.
Ability to trouble shoot production issues real time.
System administration experience in a Microsoft Windows environment. RedHat Linux operating system a plus.
Application experience with PTC Mfg. Applications & Windchill MPM/link a plus.
Application experience with MRP/ERP systems BOM management. SAP experience a plus
Excellent communication skills - written and oral.
