Job Description

Position Purpose

The Maintenance Kitting Lead position is responsible for the preparation of planned MRO parts and components in advance of a scheduled maintenance task based on a parts list created by others. This role will pick inventory from the MRO Warehouse system based on Work Orders, remove the parts from the computerized inventory system and prepare them in bins to be delivered to specified kititing locations around the entire facility. The individual will also retrieve used bins at specified intervals and return any unused parts to the warehouse and the computerized inventory system. The role will assist with the checkout of non-kitted parts directly from the warehouse for maintenance tasks without a pre-planned parts list.

Principal Accountabilities

60% Phyiscally and electronically remove parts from inventory to prepare kitting bins based on Work Orders from others (Supervisor, Planners, Mechanics, Electricians, etc.) at a time interval based on Best Practices before a maintenance task is scheduled and deliver them to designated locations around the entire facility. Physically and electronically return any unsued parts to inventory after picking up kitting bins at a time interval based on Best Pratices.

20% Assist with the physical and electronic removal of parts from MRO Inventory for non-kitting jobs based on input from others (Supervisor, Mechanics, Electricians, etc.)

10% Assist with Cycle Count activities on a frequency based on Best Practices to ensure an accurate inventory system.

10% Perform other duties as assigned, including participation in continuous improvement activities related to EHS, FSQR, Reliability and Production Excellence.

Note: This role provides backup to the Inventory Specialist Role for the purpose of vacations, absences, etc.

Relocation will not be provided for this position.


Required Qualifications
• High school degree or an approved GED
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
• Certification and experience in a variety of mobile equipment, to include Fork Lifts, or ability to get certified within one year.
• Able and willing to work in multiple environments (hot, cold) and climb stairs.
• Able and willing to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able and willing to work limited weekends, holidays and overtime, if needed.
• Able and willing to travel as needed, typically 10% or less.

Preferred Qualifications
• 1 years of relevant experience in Maintenance, Warehouse, Shipping/Receieving and/or Supply Chain
• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, including Maximo or SAP
• Continuous improvement experience or certifications
• HACCP or FSSC 22000 experience
• OSHA 10-hour training in General Industry Safety and Health OR OSHA 30-hour training in Construction Safety and Health.
