- General Description
Teach Tai Chi at all levels and variety of styles. Classes range from 16 & older.
Tai Chi is a low impact, weight bearing, and aerobic yet relaxing exercise with its origins as a Chinese martial art. Practiced in a variety of styles, Tai Chi involves slow, gentle movements, deep breathing and meditation and Qigong exercise. This class will improve the flow of energy through the body, leading to a wide range of potential benefits such as improved strength, conditioning, coordination, flexibility, reduced pain and stiffness, better balance and lower risk of falls, enhanced sleep, greater awareness, calmness and overall sense of well-being.
Typical Work Schedule: Classes are held on Tuesday mornings, Thursday afternoons, and Friday mornings. Sessions are typically 7 week sessions. Each class is 45 minutes. Instructors may teach some or all of the classes, depending upon availability.
Location: Classes may be taught at the De Pere Community Center or De Pere High School.

- Essential Functions
Instructs Tai Chi techniques.
Motivates participants to work at their own pace.
Maintains proper paperwork for class such as attendance, incidents, etc.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Tai Chi techniques.
Ability to instruct in a group setting. Ability to motivate participants
- Minimum Requirements & Physical Requirements
Previous teaching experience preferred.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
