**MANAGEMENT POSITIONS**

 
Position: Concession/Admission Facility Assistant (Carson Football Stadium, Fairfax Pool or Hobbs Ice Arena)
Hours/Week: Up to 20-30 hours/week
Days Required:  Monday-Sunday
Salary: $9.75-$10.25/hour + Mileage

Description: The Concession/Admission Facility Assistant will be an onsite working manager at one of three locations. Responsibilities include scheduling hours and supervising workers, balancing daily cash receipts, ordering products, and inventory of supplies. Applicant should be a mature, responsible adult with organizational skills. Supervisory and/or cash handling experience preferred.
 
Position: Specialized Recreation Program Planner                   
Hours/Week: 10 hours/week
Days Required: Wednesday evenings, September-April
Salary: $10.75-$12.25/hour + Mileage

Description: Previous experience supervising employees and considerable experience working with special populations.  College background in therapeutic recreation, adapted physical education, or special education is desirable; leadership experience helpful. Certification in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED is recommended.           
 
Position: Outdoor Skating Rink Program Planner                   
Hours/Week: 20 hours/week
Days Required: Sunday-Saturday, Days/Evenings, November-March
Salary: $11.50-$14.00/hour + Mileage

Description: Assists Program Supervisor with scheduling and supervising staff at various outdoor skating rink locations.  The Planner organizes and prepares equipment for the season, prepares weekly attendance reports and assists in the closing of all outdoor skating facilities. Must have a vehicle.
 
Position: Aquatic Program Planner                                      
Hours/Week: 20 hours/week
Days Required: Sunday-Saturday, Days/Evenings, September-April
Salary: $11.50-$14.00/hour + Mileage

Description: Responsible for scheduling and supervising staff at various indoor pool locations. The Planner organizes and prepares lessons for the season, prepares weekly attendance reports and assists in program final reports and program wrap up.  Staff supervisory experience preferred.  Lifeguard Instructor certification preferred & Water Safety Instructor certification required. Must have a vehicle.

Position: River City Adventures Program Coordinator
Hours/Week: 15-20 hours/week
Days Required:  Monday-Friday

Description: The River City Adventures Program Coordinator is responsible for the organization of the after school active recreation program at 5 sites.  Applicants must be available from September 1 through May 31.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: activity planning, supervising 5-10 seasonal employees, 2-3 years' experience working with youth is preferred. College background in recreation, physical education, or elementary education preferred. Certification in American Red Cross Standard First Aid is recommended.

Position: Head Swim Instructor                                                            
Hours/Week: 2-10 hours/week
Days Required: Sunday-Saturday, Days/Evenings, September-April
Salary: $9.75-$11.00/hour

Description: Responsible for assisting the Aquatic Planner in coordinating the day to day operations at their worksite and assisting with other duties as assigned.  The Head Instructor supervises a team of 3 swim instructors and 1 lifeguard.  The Head Instructor is responsible for assisting with the development and training of all instructors assigned to their site through mentorship, shadowing and leading activities at orientation and in-services.  2-3 years' experience teaching swim lessons and certification as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.

Description: The ideal candidate will be a mature adult with a strong mechanical background, and the ability to communicate well with patrons, co-workers, and supervisors.  Duties include ice resurfacing and ice maintenance, building maintenance, monitoring/recording of mechanical equipment, supervision of staff and patrons, and event set-up and tear down.  Ice maintenance experience is not necessary.  Ice maintenance and resurfacing training will be provided. Seasonal based with potential for year-round employment. Description: Applicants must be available September 1-May 23. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  supervising youth in K-5th grade, implementing activity plans, interacting with youth, organizing games, administering first aid as necessary, and communicating with parents and/or guardians.  Highly motivated and mature person with youth leadership experience is preferred. Background in Recreation, Elementary Education, or Physical Education is desirable.
 
**REFEREE/OFFICIALS CONTRACTUAL OPPORTUNITIES**

Experienced and non-experienced referees/officials are needed for our fall/winter athletic programs. The Officials Availability Form may be found at the link above. **Note: referees/officials are not city employees. Referees/officials will be paid on a contractual basis.

Position: Volleyball Referee (Women's and Co-ed Leagues)               
Hours/Week: 2-6 matches/week
Days Required: Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday evenings, October-February
Salary: $18.00-24.00/match
