Job Description

Service Technician

Location:Wausau, WI

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Responsible for accurately and efficiently repairing and installing fountain, vending, coffee and food equipment per customer orders. Assists in maintaining a clean and safe Vending and Service Department.  


Positively demonstrates and abides by MWB’s Mission, Vision and Core Values in daily work activities to motivate team members.

Accurately based on customer calls trouble shoots and repairs Fountain, Vending, Coffee and Food equipment.

Efficiently and properly installs Fountain, Vending, and Coffee equipment based upon customer requests.

On-call for nights and weekends on a rotating schedule approximately every four weeks.

Maintains proper vehicle parts inventory.

Responsible for assisting with repairing and rebuilding used parts.

Performs the cleaning and sanitizing of pre and post-mix units at customer accounts.

May assist with the delivery of equipment as needed.

Maintains vendor equipment by cleaning and performing minor repairs as needed.

Prepares, maintains, and sets-up vending, fountain, coffee and food equipment for seasonal use per company standards on customer site.

Maintains and prepares seasonal fountain accounts by flushing lines, hooking up product and by performing start up and shut down processes per company standards.

Operates material handling equipment (forklift, electric pallet jack) safely and efficiently as required.

Maintains material handling equipment by noting and reporting any damage or malfunction.

Performs all assigned duties in a safe, efficient and accurate manner adhering to MWB and customer account policies and standard operating procedures.

Responsible to create, develop and maintain goodwill and superior customer service in each account.

Prepares and sets-ups vending, fountain, coffee and food equipment in the shop for placement for new and existing accounts.

Recommends ideas for improvement and assists in maintaining the security, safety and orderliness of the Service/Shop Department.

Required to obtain certification in forklift/electric power jack training class.  

Other duties as assigned by Service Manager or Sales Director.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (extended hours as needed).  On-call for nights and weekends approximately every 5 weeks.

RECOMMENDED MINIMUM EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent GED required. Mechanical skills required.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, general policies, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to verbally communicate with co-workers and supervisors.   Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds.  

OTHER DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS (special skills): A fun, positive attitude with attention to detail and the ability to work independently are a must.  General knowledge of a variety of basic topics, such as math, and reading.
