- La Crosse County is seeking a progressive, skilled, and collaborative Human Resources (HR) Director to lead all Human Resources functions, partner with the management team, and support all department heads in talent acquisition, employee retention, culture building and enhanced customer service.

La Crosse County is home to 119,193 residents, located in the Driftless Region of southwestern Wisconsin where the mighty Mississippi, Black, and La Crosse Rivers meet. Our home lies within the boundaries of the ancestral land of the Ho-Chunk Nation. Known as the Coulee Region, our area boasts of stunning valleys and towering bluffs that provide ample recreational opportunities like hiking in the 963 acres of parks and forests, plus road and trail biking on some of the most exhilarating rolling hills in the nation. - Training, Experience and Other Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.
•Eight years of human resources leadership experience.
•SHRM Certification is a preferred, but not required.
•May consider other relevant combinations of education and experience that provide equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
